A brief note on my studio…

If I were a prospective discerning client, I’d probably ask, “Yeah, yeah, cool gear, but I’ve seen some mastering studios that look like laboratories, why should I choose yours?” And that would be a fair question. My studio doesn’t have some of the bells and whistles of a bigger studio – no soffit mounted monitors (yet.)

But, I’ve put an enormous amount of time, effort, and testing to be sure that my space is quiet*, flat, and accurate‡, which means I’m confident that any given project I work on will translate well to all listening formats.

I’ve also been in your shoes at one point or another. I’ve been in bands, toured the country, recorded at studios, been on labels, engineered countless projects… I understand what it’s like being a small / medium sized artist, studio, or label, and I know how good it feels when someone really listens and cares about your project. You’ll certainly find that care here.

* -73dB, C - weighted, at rest.
